FOALING MANAGEMENT
Our facility is equipped with large box stalls for foaling mares, stall cameras for 24/7 monitoring by our doctors, and a Foalert system to notify our team when the foal is on the way!
We provide all levels of foaling care from economical, routine foaling to high risk pregnancy management, and dystocia intervention.
We have a doctor on site 24/7 during foaling season to allow for immediate response. Our registered veterinary technicians are on-call in order to provide emergency assistance as necessary, and in the event that you have opted for a C-section option for your mare, Dr. Crystal Lee is available for emergency C-section.
We understand the emotional and financial stress of preparing for a foal to arrive. That’s why we have developed the following Mare and Foal packages that you can choose from.
FOALING MARE PACKAGES
Our team of experienced veterinarians and veterinary staff are here to give you piece of mind when you need it the most.

• Daily examinations to monitor mammary gland development, teat fill, vulvar elongation, and tail head laxity.
• Daily pH and milk calcium testing
• Regular camera checks (every 2 hours) by on site staff as determined by mare’s physical exam and milk testing results.
• Placement of a Foalert (external transvaginal foaling alarm)
• Placental examination
• Brix refractometer colostrum analysis to ensure foal received good quality colostrum
• Comprehensive post foaling examination
