PROFESSIONALS
TEAM
Meagan Toth, RVT
Meagan has been Dr. White’s veterinary assistant since 2022. She completed two years in Equine Science at Olds College and holds an Associate Degree as a Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster College.
Kaycee Lane, RVT
Kaycee is from Hillmond, Saskatchewan. She completed her Veterinary Technician Diploma at Lakeland College in 2022 and she joined the Burwash Equine team at the start of 2025. She has a passion for performance horses and has experience in a variety of equine sports.
Caitlin Shumborski, RVT
Caitlin completed her Animal Health Technology Diploma at NAIT in 2024. She joined the Burwash Equine Team in January of 2026 and brings with her a passion for emergency medicine, surgery, and general practice. Outside of work, she has a love of endurance riding.
Naomi Reynolds
Naomi has been with our team as a veterinary assistant since May 2024. She has received her Veterinary Technical Assistant Certificate from Olds College and works at Burwash Equine part time during the winter months and full time during our busy summer season.
ADMIN TEAM
Shealyn Isted
Shealyn has been working as a veterinary assistant and managing the barn at Burwash Equine since 2023. In 2025 she transitioned into the role of the clinic’s Administrative Assistant. Shealyn has served as a working student at a cross country stable, a dressage stable, and most recently worked with competition horses in the Netherlands.
Heather Lewis
Heather has been practice manager at Burwash Equine since 2022. She grew up in Calgary, then moved to Vancouver Island. She has a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Victoria and completed several veterinary technician courses while working at veterinary clinics in BC before moving back to Calgary and becoming a key part of Burwash.
Cress Hale
Cress joined our reception team in July 2025. Show jumping was their equine passion for many years and contributed to their desire to pursue a career in the veterinary industry. With over ten years of experience working in small animal general and emergency practice, they bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for client services to the clinic.
SUPPORT TEAM
Betty and Veronica
Betty and Veronica have been a part of the Burwash Equine Services team since 2018. They are professional mousers and cuddlers. You’ll often find these gals up in our reception area.
Weiser
Weiser is Burwash Equine’s leading lady. She is a 2005 Quarter Horse mare with a heart of gold and we’re very fortunate to care for her at the clinic.
