Dr. Amanda Gilliland, DVM

Dr. Gilliland is currently in equine ambulatory practice in Langley, BC.

Dr. Amanda Gilliland grew up in Langley, BC where she spent most of her weekends at her Grandpa’s sheep farm. Her passion for animals led to her 10 year involvement in the 4-H program, raising and showing sheep and beef projects. Dr. Gilliland completed her Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University and during this degree she started working as a veterinary assistant in equine private practice.

Dr. Gilliland attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and graduated in June 2020. During her final year, Dr. Gilliland strengthened her knowledge and experience in equine medicine and surgery through external rotations at the University of Melbourne and externships in equine private practice in Arizona, Alberta and British Columbia. Dr. Gilliland has special interests in reproduction and ambulatory medicine.
