Chantal Dubé, RVT
Chantal was born and raised in horse country of Southern Ontario, growing up riding and competing on the Trillium Circuit from a young age. She also represented the Haflinger breed in showcases and breed shows across Ontario, Québec and the Northeastern United States. In 2006 her equine passion brought her to Alberta to complete a diploma in Equine Science with a major in Production and Breeding Management. From there she was fortunate to work for several breeding operations in Alberta, Ontario, and Québec. Chantal was drawn back West in 2011 to begin working for Burwash Equine Services where her passion for equine medicine blossomed into a career when she chose to return to Olds College and complete her Animal Health Technology diploma in 2014. She spent several years in mixed animal practice honing her skills and developing a passion for equine surgery and anesthesia specifically.
Chantal most recently has worked on contract in the Equine Veterinary Medical Centre in Doha, Qatar as a Registered Veterinary Technologist, focusing in equine anesthesia, prior to rejoining Burwash Equine Services in February 2019.
While not in the clinic, Chantal loves to fish and hike and cuddle her two rescue cats Fry and Mia.
